Loss feels so intense that our body cannot regulate emotions and so we simply shut our emotions down and we have these feelings. The first step in recognizing our own emotions is recognizing the emotions around us. Be observant of others: watch movies, listen to music, or look at people around you and see what emotions there are. Secondly, sit with yourself and start to recognize any physical sensations that are happening. Locate where in your body these sensations are happening so that we can find the words for what is happening in your body.
