Understanding the difference between grief and mourning is the first step of working through your loss. When we have grief, this are the internal emotions, the emotional scar, from your loss that occurs. For instance when I lost my mom I felt very isolated and sad and lost and just overall fear about the future inside if we are having a lot of things going on inside of us then we need to find a way to get these different emotions out getting emotion out is the act of mourning. Mourning is that working through, that action that must take place to get that grief outside of us.
